Tiled Showers
Tiled showers, tubs, floors, bathrooms, backsplashes, there isnt much that we wont or havent tiled before. that includes everything from the cheapest ceramics to the most expensive marbles, we have done it all!
Ive been honing my tile skills now for almost a decade and a half! each job i feel more and more confident moving onto the next, we do larger and most sophisticated jobs everytime i turn around! theres not much out of the question when it comes to what you want with tile, if you can think it up than we are more than capable of building it for you!
Shower Corner BEFORE
The customer had a large bathtub and all of this wasted space around their toilet that they wanted to utilize to gain them a larger shower space.

Here you can see that we have had the toilet relocated and have started to install the new much larger shower pan.

So the old shower was a small 3x3 single piece unit that just didn't work for our customers in their older age.

Contrasting Grout Color
You can really point out any imperfections when you are working with contrasting tile and grout colors as we were here. Homeowner cracked a tile when installing his body sprayer, nothing we couldn't fix for him!

Another one is done for us, this one here we actually ended up tearing out for a customer because it was done incorrectly, we then proceeded to do everything over that he had paid someone else to do incorrectly.

Here the shower is complete, glass barn style slider installed along with the faucet handheld and grab bar.
Black Trough Drain
Notice the drain in this shower. most people think you have to have a zero barrier curb to have a trough drain, but thats just not true.
Handicap Accessible
This customer recently had his mother move in with him and needed a handicap accessible shower for her to get her showers in. They gave us a call and walked us through what they would like to have, and we reached out to our designer, had it drawn up for them and before you know it, here we are, full size shower with center drain, no sill, fully sloped custom pan, multiple shower heads and controls, and lastly, plenty of seating!
Only the Best
We use only the best materials in all of our shower remodels. Strictly KERDI board and products. We install these products exactly how they are advertised and do not take it upon ourselves to make any alterations to them when we receive them.
Black Framed Glass Panel
In the past decade or so the more we do tile and bathroom remodels, we see more and more of this style here with the black framed glass, people are using it all over. I have even seen the black Schluter strips for the tile to match the black frame around the glass. The little touches are what makes those remodels more special than the next!

I love projects that designers come to me with, they always have one-of-a-kind projects that we absolutely love working on with them!
One Private Shower
One way to keep your privacy in the glass shower is to build a knee wall and tile that instead of doing full glass panels, although it's not for everyone, there's a place for everything at some point in time!

Here you can see that we just cut out our niche' and we are wrapping up the install, this large format stuff takes a ton of planning but if you do it correctly than the install goes off without a hitch!
Vertical Grey Tile Installation
I love when a customer asks if they can sit on their hovering bench, as if it's going to break off the first time they do! I also, love being able to give my customers a beautiful and sturdy product that will last for years to come!
Double Herringbone Pattern
One of the costliest patterns you can choose when having tile installed is a herringbone pattern, let alone a double herringbone, the amount of work it takes to do the same amount of sq ft is mind blowing!
All White
The all white is in more than ever in 2023, we see families choosing to remodel in all white materials for the freedom to decorate with any color they want, and when they get tired of that color or want something fresh, they can just decorate the place over and none of the big money items need to be replaced, at most some painting in the home and you have an entirely new decor throughout!
Floor First
I'm a firm believer in doing your tile floor first, take the time and do it right! Instead of rushing to set the walls just so you can tile the floor, we just tile the floor a day before we install the walls to ensure that its cured, hard, and able to be walked on. Plus, we don't need any ledger that would ultimately get screwed into our shower waterproof layer.

A beautiful weave pattern tile on the floor with a secondary color border as well. These homeowners know how to pick good tile selections!

Tile work is all about the lines, if you can't get straight lines and keep them that way throughout the job then you need to get a different profession, it's that simple, attention to detail is a must for a tile guy, we only accept the best here at DB, nothing less!
White Carrara
Another white carrara shower, this one with dark brushed nickel hardware and a beautiful niche with soap slot. Notice the controls are where they can be easily used without getting wet! Lots of our clients are starting to ask for this.

So, we have done a ton of showers over at DB in the following decade, some square, some rectangular, some long, some skinny, but never have we put one in the middle of the bathroom without any doors on either side, but you know the drill, when a customer asks for it, we deliver it here at DB! In this shower i had my niche' already installed in the framing and i just installed the slab right over it and cut the hole out in place, hindsight is 20/20, if i could do this one again, id cut it first and then install because of having to cut it inside the finished home was not at all what i wanted to do.

I would be lying if i told you i wasnt skeptical when the designer told me to build this shower without a door, but after its all said and done, our customer has an amazing product that works exactly how its supposed too.

Sometimes your customers wont want anything in their tile work, but at other times you will have customers like this who do not mind paying extra for exactly what they want! In this instance, double decorative borders!

Customers love the herringbone pattern, but when you tell them how much more it costs, they love it just a little less!

This shower is definitely one of the company favorites, it's been with us since the beginning too, one of our first ones, our first year. Something about white Carrara that just never gets old!

One of my favorite selections, this customer called us after they were ripped off by another contractor, two weeks after hiring us and this is what the customer has! Super happy homeowner!

This customer wanted their niche shelf to match their sill as well as their bench and countertops. When they match like this it really brings the entire bathroom together!

This was our first try at the floating bench style seat and i must say, i think we nailed it! Customer also had us install two jumbo slabs of granite in a book match pattern, i love how they turn out!

Double Herringbone with 4 Niche's
This customer wanted to have a shower plant which she read about in a HGTV magazine, so she asked for extra niche slots, you know we made that happen for her, she now has 3 full size niche's and 1 soap slot, tons of room for her shower garden!
All White with Wheelchair Seat
This is an older shower that we installed almost 7 years ago, this one is a little outdated because of the fact that its a wheelchair shower with a sill, all of our wheelchair showers are capable of accepting a wheelchair by just rolling it right on in on the floor!
Gorgeous Couples Shower
Does she always steal and hog all of the hot water from you? or how about this one, does she like the water so hot it feels like it's going to peel off your skin? Well, if you answered yes to either one of those questions you need this large double shower where you have 2 of everything, one for him, and one for her!

Plumbing all roughed in, hanging our kerdi-board and waterproofing the shower at this stage. Every shower base gets filled with water and left for a 24 hour test to ensure 100% waterproofing coverage.

Decorative Band With Medallion
This shower is all sandstone in color and is absolutely gorgeous. The customer spared no expense on this one, tile baseboard, tile crown molding, tile border, tile medallion, tile niche, i mean the list of decorations just goes on and on for this shower.

Modern Black Framed Shower Enclosure
This was actually our first black frame modern styled glass enclosure, since this one it's been one of our hottest selling items, I'd say we have done at least ten of them this past year.
Marble Slab Tile Shower
This two-person shower was huge, full wall tile, bluetooth music, shower tower for each user, an absolute dream come true for sure.
Custom Centerpiece Tub

This customer wanted to be able to take a shower with his wife and have a shower built exactly for them and their needs. Now, they have the shower of their dreams!

This customer had custom mosaic tile fish put into the floor as well as multiple shelves protruding out of the wall for those candle nights!

Entire Bathroom
This door was actually one whole door when we landed this job, as part of the contract we offered to order a new door and install it with double doors just like the customer wanted, after being quoted $4,500 for the door and it not even going to be exact, we decided to cut the existing door that the customer still had into 2 pieces and make our own jamb and go from there, DB nailed it! you can't even tell that this isn't a factory door, looks just like a manufactured door bought at a big box store, of course it's a lot better materials as well!

Custom Tile Bench
Most contractors only give you the two options that are on the box when it comes to your bench. Square/rectangle or a triangle in the corner. But here at DB we go above and beyond for our customers, we do what they ask us to do, even if that's tiling a one-of-a-kind bench sauna style rollback chair inside their shower. Gold Hardware
Every now an then, a customer makes a selection that you just cant see in your imagination, and you just cant wait to see it in person, this is definitely one of those items, i thought there was not 1 spot in the 21st century for gold until we did this bathroom, it has made me a gold believer! not only that, the round bench is pretty awesome isnt it? you wont see many of those around! DB Special!

KERDI Niche'
Here is a kerdi niche' before it's been mudded or taped in. At this point it's just help in with a few screws and small cleats, but you'd be surprised at just how well built these niches really are.

Beautiful sand variations of tile in this shower. Customer laid out tiles in exact order that they wanted them and we installed them row by rom to give that "checkerboard" affect.

This gorgeous blue tile pops the more you look at it thats for sure! the absolutely white shower sure does help draw your attention to how clean the lines are, another shower slayed by DB!
Rose Gold Faucets
So, this customers wife asked me if she could have pink shower head fixtures, at first i told them id have to look into it, but after digging around a little bit i found an entire line of rose gold shower parts that would look exactly like she was asking for, a few days of waiting and before you know it, we had her shower decked out in pink before she knew it!

This was a herringbone tile pattern on the floor with full slab Carrara on the walls.
Tile Mosaic In-Lay
This shower has a beautiful mosaic in-lay that our team completed for the customer. Entire shower is done in 1"x1" glass tiles except for the mosaic.

This here is one of the largest bathrooms we have done to date! it has tile throughout on all of the walls as well as a double sink island in the middle.

Niche & Shelf
This customer wanted a little more room for their hair products than the niche allowed. The current framing restricted us from making the niche any wider so we offered to add a shelf at the top of the niche and the customer loved the idea!
Smoked Amber Glass
Remember when you were a kid in the 80s and they had those large brown blown glass ash trays in your family house? Thats what this door reminds me of, i never even knew colored glass was an option other than tint, but this is an amber blown glass door, and let me tell you, you'll probably never see another one like it in your lifetime!
Custom Sauna
This white and black bathroom goes absolutely perfect with this raw wood sauna!
Beach Colors
It seems like we do at least one bathroom every year that's cream or off white with a teal or light blue wall color, every single year, i think it's a beach thing!
Custom Corner Bench
This customer did not want a square bench but they also did not want a triangle bench due to the small size. We created a custom corner bench with a little more room for them to sit down on, the customer loved our attention to detail!

This shower has an amazing black brick laid tile and looks stunning now that its finished and has its glass enclosure installed on it!

Another Carrara family stone, absolutely gorgeous just like the others, all chrome handhelds and faucets with plenty of body sprayers in this shower to get you by for a long while!
White Grout Lines
When a customer asks for white grout lines on a dark tile job, we also make sure to bring out our big guns! The tile work must be right on with amazing precision or you'll notice the width of the grout from a mile away! can't pick out a single line in this shower though! Our guys did an amazing job!
Custom Tiled Floor
Customer asked us to not only lay the tile on the bathroom and shower floors, but also to wrap their sill in it, which is not a normal request but turned out to look amazing! Great choice Mrs. Jenkins, you nailed it!

This floor has huge 2'x2' tiles across the entire thing! an amazing experience for us here at DB to say we have done something else and to add another notch on our belt!

Just like the other double door shower, this one you can also walk in one end and out the other, a beautiful design incorporates the windows on the house nicely in the bathroom shower tile design!
One of my Favorites
So, I try not to let these jobs and customers get to me, i try to treat them all like the wonderful customers that they are, but from time to time one of them grabs ahold of you and you just know that it's a money maker. It's one of your favorites! This my friends, is one of my favorites, by far, I love this shower!
BEFORE Red Clay Brick Shower
This is when we first started this project, we have our floor waterproofing running over the entire shower area flush with the bathroom floor for a seamless shower that you wont have a curb in.

This builder had us tile red clay brick fascia stone on one wall and our shower tile on the other. they then proceeded to white-wash the red clay bricks to get this amazing outcome. We also installed a 5-Bay niche for maximum storage!

We used to use all types of waterproofing before we got it down right, but now that we have a choice and we know what we are doing, we strictly like to use kerdi, it's an amazing product with an amazing product line of tools and extras, i mean they literally make everything you need to tile whatever it isa you're tiling!

Here the shower is complete, and you can see our attention to detail did not stop with the kerdi membrane but continues all of the way through the tile install!
DURING Setting Shower Tile
Here we are showing our method for tiling ceiling in steam showers. if you don't tile the shower ceiling of a steam shower then the droplets will collect on the ceiling and damage the drywall. With a tiled ceiling you pitch it with a 5% or less grade and all of the steam droplets will roll right off of it right back into the shower with you!

This shower had a knee wall built to accomodate the bench seat. It also had unique corner shelving and accent niches throughout the entire bathroom area.
Corner Shelves
Here we built a custom shelf and corner shelving for our customers. They wanted their countertop, sills, shelves, and bench seat all to match, and thats what we specialize here at DB!

This design turned out so beautifully that it was featured in Beach Magazine in 2021!
Random Pattern Tile
So, these tiles come with a 4-color palate. you just randomly grab them from the box making sure not to overdo it with any individual color, the outcome, something you don't see every day, that's for sure!
Sleek and Modern
This bathroom remodel screams sleek and modern all of the way from the sleek stylish cabinetry handles to the long straight tiles, even the enormous tub, it all speaks the same thing to me! DB did a great job that's for sure!
Round Ceiling
This one was a challenge for us here at DB, but nothing stops us, we continually succeed and set the bar higher than the last time, each time outperforming even our own wildest expectations, just to come back and do it again for another customer! We love our customers, each and every one of you, we would not be here today without each and every one of you! Thank you for that!

here is a beautiful tile shower that we just completed in Carrara marble with chrome accent throughout and i think it came out very nicely, but it has nothing on the next one, even though it's the same tile.

This white Carrara was taken to another level by our installer Johnny when he was asked by the customer to make all of his outside corner's gold. At first, he wasn't sure how to succeed and pull off the look that the customer wanted but, in the end, johnny nailed it and the customer was stoked!

Single Level Tile Floor
This customer had recently been put into a wheelchair and needed help in their shower. The nurse was having a hard time putting them in and out into their shower chair, we know the struggle here at DB! We hear it all of the time, and we have the perfect solution!

Here is an all white wavy tile shower that we built a rounded front bench in!

This shower was definitely a pain, spomew of the most fragile tiles that we have ever cut here at DB, no matter the method we used we still had a ton break. we normally order 20% extra for waste and with this shower we ended up wasting almost 45% of what we purchased, i huge difference all because the tile was so fragile! But you know the saying, customers want what customers want, no matter the cost!
Round Ceiling
I actually tiled this for a friend of mine, his son loves the color blue and i wanted to do something i had never done before so i chose to do a bright blue ceiling with some tile that I had left over from a job.

This is called a banjo top, we do a ton of these usually in the condominium space for an additional shelf to sit your tissues, towels, decorations, etc on it.
